The Regional Environmental Center for Central and Eastern Europe (REC) invites applications for the position of Country Office Director of the REC Country Office Poland, based in Warsaw.

The REC is an independent international organisation working in various fields of sustainable development. The REC has its head office in Hungary and a network of 20 country and field offices throughout Central and Eastern Europe.

Main Responsibilities

REC and country office representation, with special emphasis on governmental contacts
Raising awareness of REC activities and programmes
Management of the REC country office
Fundraising and development and implementation of projects with a strong focus on the European Union (EU) region
Interacting with the REC office network

Qualifications and Experience, Skills, Expectations:

Thorough knowledge of the environmental situation of Poland and the EU region
Understanding of the operation of governmental institutions (in particular, the ministries of environment and foreign affairs)
Experience in business development and management
High-level fundraising and project-management skills
Supervisory skills
Minimum ten years work experience related to the environment
Excellent command of written and spoken English and native-level Polish
University degree in a relevant field
Ability to travel frequently
