The excursion took place in the Natura 2000 site
Dolina Środkowej Wisły (Middle Vistula River Valley) in nature reserve Wyspy Zawadowskie (Zawadowskie Islands). The reserve is partly located in the Vistula River, including temporary sand islands and riverside carr forest. We had walk along Vistula River and old bed of Świder River.
The excursion was guided by Mr Przemysław Pasek, the leader of
Fundation Ja Wisła. The final stop was the meeting with representative of
City Hall of Warsaw, Mr Jarosław Matusiak, person responsible for management of Vistula River banks in the city. Vistula River in Warsaw is part of Natura 2000 site Dolina Środkowej Wisły (Middle Vistula River Valley).
